Defending agriculture and the rural economy in Europe
The proposal seeks to establish a comprehensive legislative framework to protect European agriculture, with measures such as prioritizing the use of agricultural land for food production, the establishment of a European Hydrological Plan to guarantee quality water, and the creation of a European Agency for Agriculture and Rural Economy. In addition, it advocates guaranteeing food sovereignty, combating unfair competition from third countries and defending traditional practices such as livestock and sustainable fishing.

Rural areas have been one of the fundamental pillars on which Europe's progress has been based. Unfortunately, depopulation, maximalist environmental policies and a political and international context marked by instability and uncertainty are putting the survival of many of them at risk. From the SOS Rural movement, we present a series of proposals to protect the rural world and fight for its future.
